Bargteheide Church Choir

The Bargteheide Church Choir (Kantorei Bargteheide) currently brings together more than 60 singers of different generations. In addition to contributing to worship services, the choir regularly performs major choral works, concert projects and concert tours. The ensemble combines high musical standards with the joy of singing and making music together, and warmly welcomes new members.

Carnegie Hall (2019)

In 2019, the Bargteheide Church Choir joined an international project choir for a performance of Martín Palmeri’s Misa Tango at Carnegie Hall in New York. The invitation followed a personal recommendation from the composer, with whom several successful performances of the work had already been realised.

With Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, the Church Choir realised one of its most ambitious projects to date in 2026. Together with pianists Elisaveta Ilina and Linda Leine, Elbtonal Percussion, the North Elbe Boys Choir (Nordelbischer Knabenchor) and soloists Santa Karnīte (soprano), Patrick Vogel (tenor) and Christoph Liebold (bass-baritone), the ensemble presented a performance that attracted attention well beyond the region.
